Recording

The heart of my recording system is the Apple Mac. It’s the nerve centre and the mechanism that enables capture from the senses at the front end. I use several DAW packages including Logic Pro, Digital Performer and Ableton Live. Each is a tool for a particular role. I love the facilities for production in Logic Pro, use the exemplary structure in Digital Performer for studio recording and the flexibility of Ableton Live for DJ’ing and live gigs.

The hardware into the Mac is MOTU based with additional mic pre-amps from Focusrite and Joe Meek. External processing from Lexicon.

The mic bag currently includes AKG Rode Shure SE Electronics with monitoring from Genelec. AKG and Beyer Dynamic for the performer.
